Owners Memories of Isla:
My husband and I first discovered Isla Mujeres almost 30 years ago when it was a sleepy fishing town. Too many memories to count, but we got engaged on the island and our son started going when he was less than 1 years old. We met some of our dearest friends there when we both were closing on our Ixchel units and remain good friends today. After many years, we wanted to give back to the community and have made the commitment to volunteer at Isla Animal Rescue every day we are visiting the island. This has been a very rewarding experience for the whole family.
We absolutely fell in love with the authenticity of the people, and slower pace of life. After returning every year for several years we saw construction on Playa Norte (best beach on island) and knew we wanted to own a condo there! The rest is history and we have literally had zero issues with the outstanding management company and staff. Rentals/occupancy has grown every year and the town continues to thrive without feeling like Cancun. We have made enough rental income every year to fund our son’s private education which has been such a blessing.
We are only selling because it is time to build our future retirement home but plan on returning to Isla Mujeres often.
